Well, these past six months with my sweet boy have flown right by and just like that - in the blink of an eye - he's already half a year old! He fills my heart with an immeasurable amount of joy and I could never imagine life without him. His 1/2 birthday was on Friday and we celebrated with a homemade pup cake, lots of kisses and belly scratches, and quality time at the park fetching tennis balls and chewing on sticks (I threw the balls... he chewed on the sticks).

I made this tasty apple pie for my family and I and it was a huge hit. Of course with fall being my favorite season, I have a bunch of cute leaf-shaped cookie cutters. I used them for the crust to bring to life the crispness of the changing leaves outside in this pie!

Hey there! Long time no see! It's been a crazy hectic summer and I am soooo behind on posting recipes - gahhhh! Between graduating, moving into my own new place, starting a new job, and preparing for grad school, it seems like the past few months have been nothing but a big blur. Over the next few weeks, I plan to post all of my recipes from this summer and play a good ole fashioned game of 'catch up.' First, I'm starting off with this festive, patriotic pie!

Someone pinch me... I must be dreaming. In just a few short weeks (18 days to be exact), my best friend and I will be GRADUATING from Virginia Commonwealth University! We are both health, physical education, and exercise science majors with a concentration in exercise science. I could not have possibly imagined getting through the past couple of years without her - especially our senior year! 

Happy Saint Patrick's day, y'all! Today marks the one-year anniversary of my first blog post - how exciting! For breakfast today, I had a festive rainbow fruit platter and a delicious green smoothie. 

Endless sunshine, tropical fruit bowls, and no school work - it doesn't get any better than this! This past week was my spring break and I got to spend a few fun-filled days in Nags Head, NC with my boyfriend! We stayed at a hotel with a beautiful oceanfront view, watched the sun rise and set each day, saw amazing beach views from Jennete's Pier, found gorgeous seashells along on the shore...

The national day of love is almost here, so of courseee I had to fill today's breakfast with lots of hearts! I will admit - I went a little cray today with the heart cookie cutters. I used them for my eggs, tomatoes, even the bread anddd cut out some watermelon with them too. Then I told myself to calm down before I gave myself a HEART-attack (get it... heart attack?) and decided to just add heart-shaped eggs to these sandwiches.
